I seek to re-think the shape of the recognizable. This piece is both representational and symbolic - based on the continuous interplay of nature, humanity and technology and the effect each plays on the other. 2 individual “charms” are tethered by an aluminum chain to rock mined from the Wade Sand & Gravel quarry. The magnesium limestone rock used for the sculpture was harvested from the quarry and the stone had a dynamite blast hole through its center. The artist designed the aluminum sculpture around the personality of the rock formation. Each frame was constructed by using design and color to direct the eye. The patterns and elements organized to suggest thought and motion.
